Shopify services for Los Angeles brands
Here's the Shopify work we take on, what each kind of project usually involves, and where to read more if you want the detail.
New Shopify stores
We design the store around what you sell and who buys it, then build it on a Shopify theme your team can edit. That means product pages that answer the questions your customers actually ask, collections that make sense for your range, and a home page that does more than show a big photo.
You can see past stores in Abra's portfolio.
Redesigns
Sometimes a store sells fine but looks like the theme it came from. Sometimes it's been edited by three different people and a handful of apps, and the theme code is a mess. We look at what's there, keep what works, and rebuild the rest.
Not every redesign needs to be a full one. A new product page and a cleaned-up header can do more than a whole new look.
Moving to Shopify
If you're on WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, BigCommerce or a custom platform, we move your products, customers and order history over, and set up redirects so your old links and search rankings don't get lost.
There's more on how we handle it on Abra's Shopify migration page.
Custom sections and features
Theme sections built for your content, product page logic, bundles, custom fields with metafields, and connections to the other tools your business runs on.
If a ready-made section will do, Abra Sections has over a hundred of them.
After launch
Ongoing help when you need it
Stores keep changing. New products, a sale next month, an app that stopped playing nice with your theme, a holiday banner that needs to go up by Friday.
We can stay on as your Shopify developer after launch, so you have someone who already knows the store. That's often cheaper than paying a new developer to learn your theme each time something comes up.
We also work with agencies and designers who need a Shopify developer behind them. That side of things is on Abra's page for designers and agencies.
Typical small jobs
- Fixing layout problems on mobile
- Speeding up a slow theme
- Removing apps you no longer need
- Adding a section or a landing page
- Theme updates without losing your changes
Which one do you need?
A rough guide
| Your situation | Where we'd usually start |
|---|---|
| No online store yet | A new Shopify store, sized to what you sell now |
| Store works, but it looks generic | A redesign of the pages that matter most |
| Store is slow or hard to edit | A review of the theme and apps, then targeted fixes |
| On another platform and outgrowing it | A migration plan, including redirects |
| The theme can't do something you need | Custom sections or features |
If you're not sure, that's fine. Tell us what's bugging you about the store and we'll suggest where to start.
Ready-made sections, too
We also run Abra Sections, a Built for Shopify app with ready-made theme sections you install from the Shopify App Store. If what you need is already in there, it's a faster and cheaper route than building it from scratch, and we'll tell you so.
Not sure which service fits?
Tell us about your store and what you'd like it to do. We'll point you in the right direction, even if that's not us.
